Living legally in Spain is also an important consideration in your new life. The rules as set out in both Spanish and European law are simple but it has to be said that there are many people living here who do interpret the rules very liberally. That is their choice and the chances are that they will be able to live in this way for a very long time without any problems. However the Spanish authorities may decide to tighten up on some of the rules and unless you are prepared for this, once again, you could have problems.
