The quality of life compared to the UK

Although I have compared life here to life in the UK many of the comments could apply equally to other northern countries but since many of the comments come from personal experience, they may not apply if you live at present in a rural area. My experiences are derived from city life in the UK compared to suburban life on the Costa del Sol.

The fascinating fact here is that although we now live in Spain we still read British newspapers and watch British television, so we tend to see the old country which we know very well from a totally different perspective. Without being totally negative there do seem to be many problems today and the quality of life of the average Brit seems to be deteriorating.
