How To Create Inbound Links To Your Website
How to create one-way links to your website is something every webmaster wants to know. One-way links are the best types of links for achieving top rankings in the search engines. This is because search engines place greater value on links which point directly to your site, without being reciprocated. Because of this very reason, one-way links are more difficult to get because you are asking other websites to link to you without providing a link in exchange.
However, difficult doesn’t have to mean impossible. With a little creative thinking and some regular effort, you can quite easily get dozens of other sites to link back to your own without having to politely ask any webmasters to do it for you.
First of all, think about the other websites you have an interest in. For example, you may have a blog that you can link from. Think about any social networking sites you are a member of as well; lots of people use MySpace, Facebook and other similar sites to help create a presence for themselves online, linking back to their website in the process.
Next, you should make the effort to write some articles which are relevant to your website. These shouldn’t promote your site as such, but you need to think about subjects related to it that people will be interested to read about. Hopefully they will then click on the link you will provide at the end of the article to jump across to your website to see what else you have to offer.
There are two things you can do with these articles. Firstly you can submit them to as many article directories online as you can find. This is a tried and tested (and very successful) method of gaining lots of inbound links to your website. Secondly you can offer them to the editors of email newsletters you admire on a similar subject, and also to webmasters to use on their own websites.
These are the easiest ways to create lots of backlinks in a reasonably short time, and if you persevere in writing and submitting articles on a regular basis your inbound links will grow even faster, which is likely to push your search engine ranking higher in the process.
You can also buy one way links to your website, but there is some disagreement over whether this is advisable or not at present. It is said that Google doesn’t like the practice and may penalise sites that do this, so it may be safer (and certainly cheaper) to avoid it until some clarity is achieved on the subject.
There is also the delightful idea that some webmasters may simply link back to your website simply because they want to and not because you have asked them to, or even sent an article to them to be published. This happens over time though, and you shouldn’t depend on it if you want to build incoming links quickly.
If you build a website that is one of the best in its field and attracts a lot of attention for this reason, then more people will link to it over time. If you work on this aspect constantly and build what incoming links you are able to yourself, you will soon benefit from the efforts of other people as well.
