STAFF INCENTIVES

Recognition and reward are great motivators, and incentivising your staff is an excellent way of motivating them and improving your sales. These schemes work by firstly deciding what you want your staff to promote, then running the incentive for a period of time and rewarding the highest achieving staff for their efforts. Incentives are best run over a short period, such as a month. Incentive schemes can be used to promote a variety of things. For example, sales of coffees or desserts in food pubs. They can also be used to reward the best promotional displays, money-saving suggestions or marketing idea. Staff rewards can include bottles of wine, trophies, tickets to events and gift vouchers. Running staff incentives does involve a little administration and some cost, but the effect on your staff, and the positive impact on your sales, makes the money and effort worthwhile. Try to run a staff incentive every month or second month if you can.
