Approval Checklist
Approval Checklist
The Approval Checklist shown at Annex B has been designed to help you in preparing to make your presentation to seek formal licensing and approval. It has two functions:
- Checklist – it provides you with a checklist that you can use and fill in during your investigations and research, ticking off various items to document your progress and completion of the products required to deliver your event. (Remember – if you have to go back and revisit or revise any of your research and plans you should update the checklist too.)
- Overview/Index - the checklist itself provides an overview of the scope and depth of your planning and research in delivering the event and it will act as an index to the documentation you may be asked to present during your presentations.
The Approval Checklist is designed to be completed in stages as you finish each individual stage/chapter of this book.
The first part of the Approval Checklist is a Cover Sheet. For your unique event you may wish to amend the cover sheet entries. It also contains ‘comment’ and ‘date completed’ fields, with basic details of the event:
- event title,
- proposed event date/time,
- proposed event location,
- event summary,
- event manager and phone number,
- audience size expected,
- local authority liaison,
- police liaison, and
- other liaison.
The second part of the Approval Checklist is an overview and index to your research, plans and arrangements. It lists all chapters/stages of this book and requires you to sign off that you have read and understood them as you work through. Where you are expected to produce defined products in a given chapter/stage, it lists those products, with an entry that allows you to note the date each was completed and to write a page number of other reference showing where to access that documentation. Depending on requirements for your unique event, you may wish to amend this section.
