Confidence In Your Plans

Confidence in your plans

During your planning and research, you have been meeting and discussing your proposals with the emergency services and the authorities. You have been listening to them and taking their advice, modifying your proposals and plans to resolve any issues that they have raised. During this time you should have been receiving support from them, as your plans were refined and revised and moved ever closer to a standard that they would formally accept.

At this stage, they should be well aware of the content of your plans and proposals, just as you should have a degree of confidence that they will accept them. You are now ready to make a formal presentation to the local authority, the emergency services, the health and safety executive, your sports governing body, and any other interested party, to formally request licensing and written approval to organise and run your proposed event.
