How to choose

List and review your experience, knowledge, contacts, resources, staff, known exhibitors, suppliers etc. To be able to organise and run a successful event, you will need them all, or have to obtain them quickly if you want to succeed. Be realistic. If you don’t have them, it is possible to ‘buy-in’ appropriate skills, experience and knowledge, but it can be expensive and is generally only viable at major commercial events. Just as experience and contacts etc. will help you in organising an event, the less you know about the theme, type or content of the proposed event, the greater your chance of failing!
