Neighbours

Though not strictly permission, as a courtesy you should inform the neighbouring landowners and tenants of your plans. It is important that you listen to any doubts or fears they may have for two reasons:

  • They may have identified a legitimate problem that you overlooked and at this early stage can resolve quite easily.
  • If you want to hold the event again next year and you have upset the neighbours, they may lodge an objection with the local authority, or put pressure on your landowner and you may not be given permission to run the event next year.
