You should now:

  • be aware of the variety of activities that are possible at the event you are planning,
  • have refined your event type and theme after researching attractions,
  • be aware of the sources of attractions you require,
  • have identified and approached potential sponsorship targets especially where sponsors offer big names, displays and attractions,
  • have brainstormed and listed your required attractions, taking into account popularity, costs, space requirements and availability,
  • given a checkpoint presentation to a new group, to confirm your results are ready to move on to the next phase, and
  • possibly have returned to review audience size and profile in light of investigations into attractions.

Product completed

  • Have produced a list of proposed and required attractions based on cost, availability and suitability investigations.
  • Have provisionally booked any attractions for which there is no fee and possibly pencilled in bookings with commercial attractions, depending on possible cancellation fees etc.
  • Have scheduled health and safety reviews of all proposed event attractions.
  • Checkpoint review – authorisation to continue.
