  • understand the benefits of videotape as a tool that you can use to prove your event a success, and
  • have decided if and how you are going to use videotape, planned what images you want to capture for what purposes and scheduled the collection of those images.

  • Have agreed when and where you will use videotape as a tool in managing your event.
  • Have sourced the equipment and somebody capable of using it.
  • Have scheduled the known occasions when the video equipment will be used – for example on the initial tour of a proposed site.
  • Have defined within your procedures any occasions when the video camera will be used, for example recording complex tape and cone entrance lanes at the main gate, or as part of an enquiry following any incident or accident.
