Roving Car Park Supervisor

Roving car park supervisor

For larger events, using several car parking fields as you have seen, I propose that you should appoint a roving car park supervisor (RCPS). That is the senior car park marshal who, depending on site and circumstances, should be supplied with a vehicle, The vehicle should be capable of carrying half a dozen people, it should be able to cope with wet grass and some mud, and it should be able to carry various supplies. A Landrover would be ideal, but I have seen people carriers and minibuses used for this purpose.

The RCPS has responsibility for making sure that car parks are operated safely and efficiently and that appropriate staff are trained, equipped and briefed to perform the desired functions. Being mobile the RCPS will be able to transport staff to the location where they are most needed and as has been mentioned elsewhere. may be insured to take people around to look for lost cars. The RCPS will also carry a supply of water and maybe snacks for staff, as well as carrying basic sign making equipment.
