Selling Advertising Space

Selling advertising space

Do not forget that it may be possible for you to sell advertising space. Perhaps the local pizza restaurant would want to pay you for the privilege of putting an advert on the back of every ticket, or at least sponsor the production of the tickets. They may want to erect a banner at the event, at the main entrance and exit. They of course hope that after the event, the public will want something to eat – and the first thing that will come to their minds is that juicy pizza they saw on the back of their fireworks ticket or on the banner at the gate.

Other advertisers may want to put advertising signs and hoarding on the local site. Would a local four-wheel drive garage supply patrol and cash collection vehicles as long as they could have a stand on the site? Explore every avenue.

Removal of signs

Erecting signs to help people at your event is important, but don’t overlook the importance of removing them as well. You have probably seen shabby signs advertising something that happened weeks or even months ago. You don’t have to walk very far in most areas before you find the remains of signs, or bare plastic cable ties festooning poles along our streets. When your event is over, remove your signs and any fixings or posts. Do not ruin your reputation by being a cowboy who leaves these signs to rot and litter the pavement. Take them down and dispose of them yourself, safely and quickly.
